Discipleship in Biblical Foundations

…The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38)

Discipleship in Biblical Foundations has long been at the heart of Joy To The Nations’ mission. Originally established in rural villages in Honduras, this project functioned as a grassroots Bible school, equipping pastors, church leaders, and believers with a deeper understanding of Scripture and a solid theological foundation for ministry. Through in-person teaching, mentoring, and relational discipleship, leaders were strengthened to faithfully shepherd their communities and multiply biblical truth within the local church.

While the geographic context of this project has changed, its purpose and heart have not.

From the beginning, this ministry has been about meeting people where they are and grounding their lives in the truth of God’s Word. Today, Discipleship in Biblical Foundations continues as a core ministry of Joy To The Nations through biblical counseling and discipleship-based teaching. The focus remains on walking alongside individuals as Scripture speaks into spiritual, emotional, and relational challenges, helping biblical truth take root in everyday life.

This current expression reflects a continued commitment to discipleship as both formation and restoration—equipping believers not only with biblical knowledge, but with lives shaped by Scripture, prayer, and obedience to Christ. Whether in rural villages or one-on-one discipleship and counseling settings, the heart of the project remains the same: establishing strong biblical foundations that lead to freedom, maturity, and lasting fruit.

Through this project, Joy To The Nations continues to invest in people, strengthen the church, and support global missions by ensuring that sound biblical teaching remains central in every season and setting of ministry.

Partners in the Harvest

Partners in the Harvest is a ministry initiative of Joy To The Nations International designed to strengthen and support missionaries who are faithfully serving around the world. Through this project, proceeds from Joy To The Nations’ biblical counseling and life coaching ministries are used to provide ongoing financial support to missionaries we know personally and trust deeply.

Many of the missionaries supported through this project have long-standing relationships with Joy To The Nations, including individuals who first confirmed their calling to missions while serving on short-term trips alongside our ministry. Having walked closely with them in seasons of discernment, preparation, and service, Joy To The Nations is uniquely positioned to support their continued work with confidence, accountability, and care.

This project reflects a commitment to stewardship and multiplication—recognizing that ministry fruit continues to grow as those who are called are sent, supported, and sustained. By reinvesting proceeds from counseling and coaching into global missions, Joy To The Nations creates a bridge between discipleship, personal transformation, and the ongoing work of the gospel around the world.

Partners in the Harvest allows individuals seeking healing and growth through counseling and coaching to also participate in advancing the gospel—ensuring that personal restoration and global mission remain deeply connected within the heart of the ministry.

Prophetic Evangelism

Prophetic Evangelism is an outreach-focused ministry of Joy To The Nations International that seeks to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through prayerful listening, Spirit-led encouragement, and relational engagement. Rooted firmly in Scripture and guided by humility and discernment, this ministry creates space for people to encounter the love of God in personal and meaningful ways.

This project is primarily carried out through outreach in the United States and during mission trips led or supported by Joy To The Nations. Through prayer and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit, team members offer words of encouragement, biblical truth, and compassionate presence that point people to Jesus—inviting both seekers and believers to respond to God’s love, truth, and invitation to new life.

Prophetic Evangelism within Joy To The Nations is always practiced under clear spiritual guardrails. It is submitted to the authority of Scripture, centered on Christ, and focused on building up, encouraging, and drawing people toward a deeper relationship with God. This ministry avoids spectacle and self-promotion, emphasizing instead love, integrity, and faithful witness. Every interaction is approached with respect, wisdom, and a commitment to reflect the character of Christ.

Joy To The Nations carries out this outreach both independently and in partnership with local churches and ministries, recognizing the importance of unity within the body of Christ. When appropriate, individuals encountered through prophetic evangelism are encouraged toward ongoing discipleship, connection with local churches, and continued spiritual support.

Through this project, Joy To The Nations seeks to proclaim the gospel, encourage hearts, and awaken spiritual hunger—trusting the Holy Spirit to lead, convict, and transform lives for the glory of God.

Hope for the Fatherless

Hope for the Fatherless is a compassionate outreach of Joy To The Nations International, rooted in the biblical call to care for the orphaned, vulnerable, and those without parental support. Scripture reminds us in James 1:27 that caring for the fatherless and widows is an expression of pure and genuine faith, and this truth continues to shape the heart of this ministry.

Through this project, Joy To The Nations serves children and single-parent families both overseas and locally—working through trusted missionary relationships, partner organizations, and direct opportunities the Lord places before us. Whether across the globe or within our own communities, the goal remains the same: to reflect the love of the Father to those who may feel forgotten, abandoned, or unseen.

Donations to Hope for the Fatherless help meet both emotional and practical needs. This includes providing food, diapers, formula, school supplies, medical care, and other essential resources, while also offering prayer, presence, and the assurance that each child is deeply loved by God. At the heart of this project is the desire for children to know they are not alone, but cherished and embraced by a loving Father.

Because needs often arise unexpectedly, donor support allows Joy To The Nations to respond with compassion and readiness when situations present themselves. Having funds available in advance enables the ministry to act quickly and faithfully—serving as an extension of God’s care through the generosity of His people.

Through Hope for the Fatherless, Joy To The Nations seeks to be the hands and heart of Christ, offering practical help, spiritual encouragement, and hope to children and families in times of need.

Short-Term Outreaches

Short-Term Outreaches are a flexible and responsive expression of Joy To The Nations’ mission, designed to meet spiritual and practical needs as opportunities arise—both locally and overseas. Over the years, these outreaches have taken many forms, including mission trips, community-based training, and compassionate response to individuals and families facing difficult or life-altering circumstances.

Through these outreaches, Joy To The Nations has partnered with local churches, community leaders, and trusted organizations to offer practical support such as first aid training, nutrition and cooking education, and skill-based initiatives that encourage self-sufficiency and dignity. These efforts are shaped by existing relationships and a desire to serve communities in ways that are culturally respectful and genuinely helpful.

In addition to practical outreach, Short-Term Outreaches often include prayer, encouragement, evangelism, and spiritual ministry. Joy To The Nations remains committed to being attentive and responsive to moments when individuals are seeking hope, healing, or freedom—always grounded in Scripture and carried out with discernment, humility, and love.

Whether through organized mission trips or timely local opportunities, these outreaches reflect a willingness to serve wherever God opens the door. Guided by the call of Scripture to be ready “in season and out of season” (2 Timothy 4:2), Joy To The Nations seeks to respond faithfully—offering the hope of the gospel and the compassion of Christ in each setting.
