Discipleship in Biblical Foundations

…The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest. (Matthew 9:37-38) 

We have partnered with Harvestime International to provide quality Discipleship courses as well as writing and administering our own curriculum in various subjects.  We offer Discipleship Classes in rural areas where many families live on less than $2 per day making it difficult to attend a Bible School, or where the churches are not yet equipped to offer deeper studies in the Word of God.  We partner with local pastors and churches to equip the saints.

The challenge given by our Lord is for laborers, men and women to know how to reap the spiritual harvest fields of the world for the Kingdom of God.  It is therefore our goal through this Discipleship Program to recruit, train, motivate and mobilize harvesters, laborers for Christ!

Everyone is welcome to come to the classes to learn, but many want a deeper understanding and desire to have the books and learning materials so they can study and become effective ministers themselves.  For theses individuals we offer a scholarship program.

How the scholarship program works:

Each course costs around $40 for all materials.  We offer an 85% scholarship to new students recommended by a local pastor.  Based on the students grade at the end of each class, they may qualify for a scholarship for the next class.  They must pass each class with a 70% or better to qualify for a scholarship.  Very high scoring students may qualify for 100% scholarships for their next course.

Your donations to this project help us raise up laborers for the field and offers discipleship training to those who desire to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and their knowledge of the Word of God.

Your donation of $40 or more will help sponsor an individual in a discipleship course.  Some students wish to complete a diploma program of 10 courses.  A donation of $400 will sponsor one student through a diploma program or a full class of 10 students.  Please consider a donation today.

Prophetic Evangelism

Because of the tourism associated with the Bay Islands, we have the opportunity to reach people from all over the world as they visit the islands.  Our vision is to train nationals in prophetic ministry and offer free dream interpretation and prayer at a booth in the heaviest tourist area of the island to those visiting from other nations.  People are seeking the supernatural and we can introduce them to the supernatural power of God in unexpected ways!

Hope for the Fatherless

It is our great joy to be a part of ministering to the needs of the orphan and fatherless.  James 1:27 says “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction…”

Your donations to this project help children that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or orphaned to learn that they have been adopted by Father God and he cares for them.

Through this ministry, you are reaching out with hugs and the love of Jesus Christ as well as meeting practical needs (diapers, milk, food, formula, school supplies, medical treatment, etc.) of children and single parent families throughout Roatan.

The needs in this area can vary greatly, donations are needed in advance of the need so we have funds on hand when a situation presents itself and we feel God wanting us to be His and your hands extended.  Please consider a donation today.  If God is prompting your heart, He knows the need and the timing to provide on-time help to someone who really needs it.  Please respond today.

Children’s Leadership Training and Crusades

Crusades are another way that we love to reach a community by influencing families for Jesus. Giving these crusades, we are able to draw hundreds of children and their families into faith through Jesus Christ as they hear the Word of God in verse and songs of worship.  Fears and superstitions reign in many lives on the islands. However, we do witness the Joy of the Lord come to those in attendance of the Crusades, through the softening of their countenances and the happiness that exudes from them. We have seen the Joy of the Lord truly become their Strength. We also enjoy training leaders in Children’s Ministry as they then turn around and give their own Crusades to the children and families they oversee both in the city and rurally.

Short-Term Outreaches

Throughout the years, JTTN has intermittently organized and managed various other projects such as the giving of First Aid classes, the teaching of Good Nutrition, techniques and recipes in Cooking classes, skilled Micro-enterprise classes in conjunction with those Honduran NGOs leaders that have had existing working relationships with key community leaders in various departmental regions. Since our move to the Bay Islands, we have been called upon many times to help those experiencing life-altering situations that bring a loss of hope/deep sadness, torment from the negative effects of island voodoo, demonic torment and bondages, the request for spiritual deliverance. We know that it is important to be instant both in season and out (II Timothy 4:2).
